MADISON, WI (WSAU) — An Eau Claire man is back in prison after he was caught selling meth while out on extended supervision for prior drug charges.
Kevin Bell sold over 70 grams of meth to informants in the Eau Claire area in late 2020, leading to the revocation of his extended supervision which landed him back in state prison.
This week the US District William Conley sentenced him to a four-year federal prison sentence followed by four years of extended supervision to run alongside his state sentence, which is set to expire in 2027.
During sentencing Conley noted that Bell’s history of selling drugs contributes to the downfall of other addicts, adding that his history of drug-related charges are unacceptable and merit significant punishment.
The 41-year-old’s prior charges include other counts of distributing meth, disorderly conduct with domestic abuse, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
