WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Parents in the Wausau School District have a new way to keep up with their kids on the way to and from class.
The district has teamed up with First Student to provide the FirstView app which will allow parents to track the child’s bus route in real-time.
FirstView will allow parents to know when their child’s bus has arrived at school and when it departs for the day. Parents can also set up email alerts or push notifications when the bus is about to drop their child off.
The app can also be configured to notify grandparents or caregivers when children are almost home from school.
Parents can only get alerts about their children through their student identification number. The app can be configured for multiple students from the same household.
