LOS ANGELES, CA (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Dodgers are striking back in the NLCS. Los Angeles plated four runs in the eighth inning as it came back to beat the Braves 6-5 in Game Three.
Cody Bellinger again came up in the clutch as he tied the game at 5-all with his three-run homer in the eighth. Mookie Betts followed that up with an RBI double to put the Dodgers ahead.
Los Angeles now trails the series 2-1. Tony Gonsolin was the winning pitcher, with Kenley Jansen securing the save.
Adam Duvall plated two runs for Atlanta, which had led 5-2 through seven innings. Luke Jackson suffered the loss.
Game Four is on Wednesday.
BOSTON, MASS (MetroSource-WSAU) –The Astros evened the ALCS at two games apiece after a win in Game Four. Houston scored seven times with two outs in the ninth inning to escape Fenway Park with a 9-2 win over the Red Sox.
Jose Altuve hit a game-tying home run in the eighth inning and Michael Brantley broke the game open with a bases clearing double in the ninth.
Nathan Eovaldi was charged with the loss after allowing four runs in two-thirds of an inning. Kendall Graveman earned the victory with a pair of scoreless innings of relief. Xander Bogaerts hit a two-run homer for Boston.
Game Five is scheduled for Wednesday.
