LOS ANGELES, CA (MetroSource-WSAU) –The Braves are inching closer to a trip to the World Series. Atlanta beat the Dodgers 9-2 in Game Four of the NLCS to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Eddie Rosario again starred for the Braves, homering twice and driving in four runs. His three-run blast in the ninth broke the game open. Atlanta used six pitchers and limited Los Angeles to only four hits.
Julio Urias struggled for the Dodgers, surrendering five runs in five innings. A. J. Pollock drove in both runs for Los Angeles, which again faces elimination in the postseason.
Game Five is tonight.
BOSTON, MASS (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Astros are one win away from another trip to the World Series. Houston rolled past the Red Sox 9-1 in Game Five of the ALCS in Boston.
Framber Valdez earned the victory after allowing just one run over eight innings. Yordan Alvarez got the Astros on the board first with a solo home run in the second inning. Alvarez added a couple more runs for Houston in the sixth as part of a five-run inning.
Chris Sale was charged with the loss after allowing four runs in five-and-a-third. Rafael Devers drove in the lone run for the Sox with a solo shot in the seventh.
The Astros will look to close out the series back in Houston in Game Six on Friday.
