WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — There could be a plea deal coming for the man who vandalized a downtown church in Wausau.
A hearing has been set for 38-year-old Adam Dupleasis who allegedly used a fire extinguisher to damage the inside of the First Universalist Unitarian Church in Wausau. The suspect fled but was arrested after a video showed him fleeing the scene.
Police say that Dupleasis threw a brick through a glass door and while inside used the fire extinguisher to damage the church organ and a thermostat.
He faces numerous charges including burglary, criminal damage to religious property, and possession of meth.
There are reports that all of this plus some other outstanding charges are being tied into one plea deal. A hearing is set for November 11th.
Dupleasis remains in jail.
