GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — Another multi-touchdown performance from Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to a 24-10 win over the Washington Football Team.
Rodgers completed over 70% of his passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns to three different receivers. Davante Adams was once again the favorite target with six catches for 76 yards and one TD, Robert Tonyan wasn’t far behind with 4 catches for 63 yards and a score. Allen Lazard added five catches for 60 yards and one TD.
No running back for the Packers recorded more than 20 rushing yards.
Except for a brief 7-7 tie at the end of the first quarter, Green Bay led throughout the game after opening the scoring with a Rodgers-to-Adams connection from 17-yards out.
Rodgers told FOX’s Pam Oliver after the game that he doesn’t feel like the offense has peaked yet, saying there are still some areas where the group is off especially with some turnover in the front line.
Green Bay has now won six in a row since dropping their Week One contest against the Saints in Jacksonville. They’ll take on the red-hot Arizona Cardinals in the desert on Thursday night, pregame coverage begins at 5 PM on WSAU.
Betting Lines- Green Bay closed as an 8.5 point favorite, comfortably covering the spread. The over/under was 48, under hits. Many books are showing the Packers as three-point underdogs for the Thursday night game against Arizona.
