GLENDALE, AZ (WSAU) — Multiple sources have confirmed that Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament in Thursday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals.
His agent, Jack Bechta, confirmed the news via Twitter:
I can unfortunately confirm Robert Tonyan suffered a Left knee ACL tear. Isolated Clean with no lateral damage.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport says the injury will keep Tonyan out for the rest of the season plus Playoffs. His status for training camp is also uncertain, as ACL rehab can take up to a year.
Tonyan had 18 receptions for 204 yards and two touchdowns in the first eight games of the season. That included three catches for 49 yards in Thursday’s win.
With Tonyan now off the depth chart, Green Bay is left with three TE’s on their roster- veteran Marcedes Lewis and two second-year players in Tyler Davis and Josiah Deguara.
