STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP mens hockey team dropped a 5-3 game to St. Norbert on Saturday night at KB Willet Arena.
Pointer goals went to Brandon McReynolds, Jordan Fader and Nicholas Aromatario.
The Pointers, now 1-1, will head to Minnesota this weekend with games vs Gustavus Adolphus on Friday and St. Scholastica on Saturday.
The UWSP womens hockey team lost 2-1 at St. Olaf on Saturday. It was the second-straight one-goal defeat for the Pointers.
The Pointer only goal came late, after pulling the goalie, when Nicole Neuberger scored. Olivia Schultz had 27 saves.
The Pointers, now 0-2, will play at Marian College on Wednesday.
The UWSP womens soccer team dropped their regular season fianle 2-1 to UW-Stout on Saturday in Stevens Point.
The Blue Devils scored both of their goals in the first 15 minutes of play. McKenzie Johnson scored for the Pointers in the 75th minute.
The two teams will meet again Tuesday in the WIAC Tournament quarterfinals in Stevens Point.
The UWSP volleyball team rallied for a five-set win over Carthage on Saturday in Stevens Point. The scores were 23-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13.
Emma Peterson became the fourth player in school histoiry to record 1500 career digs as she totaled 18 in the match.
Ashley Kopp had a double-double with 21 kills and 17 digs. Grace Michalske had 48 assists.
The Pointers, now 25-6, will host Platteville in a WIAC Tournament quarterfinal on Tiesday at 7pm in Berg Gym.
The USWP football team continued to struggle on Saturday with a 56-3 thumping from UW-La Crosse.
The only Pointer score came on a field goal after a blocked punt gave them a short field after their first possession of the game.
The Pointers, now 2-6, 0-5 in WIAC, head to UW-Oshkosh on Saturday.
