Marquette Golden Eagles
MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Marquette mens basketball team opened the Shaka Smart era with an 88-77 win over Southern Illinois at Fiserv Forum.
Darryl Morsell led the Golden Eagles with 21 points. Justin Lewis had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Marquette, now 1-0, will host New Hampshire on Friday.
