GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — Green Bay Packer Coach Matt LaFleur gave an update on Monday for the numerous Packer players who suffered injuries in the win on Sunday.
The most serious appears to be defensive end Whitney Mercilus who suffered a torn bicep and appears to be done for the season. It happened in the 3rd quarter as Russell Wilson pulled away from a potential sack.
Rashan Gary suffered a hyper-extended elbow but it doesn’t appear to be a long-term issue. It’s unknown at this point if he will be able to play on Sunday vs Minnesota. Gary has been one of successful Packer defensive lineman this season.
LaFleur was also happy to report that the injury to Aaron Jones was not season ending. The running back tore his MCL in his right knee for the 3rd time in his career but might only miss a couple of weeks. LaFleur said they would monitor it on a daily basis.
