
Marquette Golden Eagles
CHARLESTON, SC (WSAU) — The Marquette mens basketball team suffered their first loss of the season dropping a 70-54 game with St. Bonaventure on Saturday night.
The Golden Eagles had won five in a row under new coach Shaka Smart but were dominated by the 22nd ranked Bonnies.
Marquette shit just 22% from three-point range and just over 30% from the field. They also had 17 turnovers.
Justin Lewis led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 17 points and 11 rebounds. David Joplin had 10 points.
Marquette, now 5-1, will host Northern Illinois on Saturday.
