STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A Stevens Point family is displaced following a Thanksgiving evening house fire.
WAOW TV reports that the city’s fire department was called to the home at 217 4th Avenue just after 9 PM for a report of smoke and flames coming from the second story.
All three people inside the home managed to get out safely, and crews were able to contain damage to the second floor, though they haven’t said if the structure is a total loss.
Initial reports indicate that the fire was electrical in nature. A total of five crews from the Stevens Point and Plover area responded to the call.
