STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The story of the Stevens Point Brewing Company is soon going to be on display at UWSP.
“Point Brewery: History on Tap” opens Friday at the UWSP Museum of Natural History. The display will feature objects and documents that were found hidden away in a corner of the Brewery, located on Water Street. That includes the Brewery’s ledger from Prohibition, some signage, and early packaging for products including cans and bottles.
A grand opening will be held on Friday that includes samples of Point Brewing products and a panel discussion on the art and science of Point Beer. The exhibit will then run through next April.
The UWSP Museum of Natural History is located within Albertson Hall. The museum is free, though donations are accepted.
The Stevens Point Brewing Company is the third oldest brewery in the United States, and its creation predates the incorporation date for the City of Stevens Point.
