MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin womens hockey team earned a win and a tie in two games with #4 ranked Quinnipiac this weekend at LaBahn Arena.
The Badgers won on Saturday 5-2 and skated to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Saturday’s goals went to Caitlin Schneider, Nicole LaMantia, Casey O’Brien, Delaney Drake and Maddi Wheeler. Kennedy Blair had 26 saves.
Sarah Wozniewicz had the only Badger tally on Sunday. Blair finished with 27 saves, 11 when the Badgers were on the penalty kill.
Wisconsin, now 18-1-3, will be off until January 10 with an exhibition against UW-Eau Claire. Fans can get into the game with a donation of a new or gently used childrens book. The first 2,273 fans to arrive with a book will get into the game.
The next games after that will be January 15-16 against St. Thomas at LaBahn.
The Wisconsin mens basketball team is in action tonight at Purdue…pre game show at 5pm on WSAU.
