MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A Merrill Police Officer has died following undisclosed medical complications.
In a post on Facebook, the Merrill PD confirmed the death of officer Riley Kurtz, calling for “continued prayers for his families,” adding they will have more information to share at a later time.
Kurtz also served the Village of Kronenwetter’s Police Department, who also confirmed his passing on their social media channels calling him “a great officer and even better person.”
Funeral arrangements for Kurtz are pending. No other information was released at this time.
