DE FOREST, WI (WSAU) — A car versus semi crash along Interstate 39/90/94 in Dane County.
According to the State Patrol, a Honda van with three passengers inside was pulling over to help a disabled vehicle. When the van pulled into traffic, it was struck by two semis.
None of the three occupants in the van survived the crash.
Officers closed down a portion of the interstate for about three hours while investigating and cleaning up the scene.
The three people killed ranged in age from 18-39 and were all from the Wisconsin Dells area. Officers are continuing to investigate the crash, adding that potential action against one of the semi drivers is pending.
