Wisconsin Badgers
ROSEMONT, IL (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Badger 2022 football schedule is set with a pair of modifications from the previous version.
Home dates with Nebraska and Purdue have been flipped, meaning the Badgers will now travel to Lincoln on November 19th and host the Boilers on October 22nd.
The Purdue game will also mark UW’s Homecoming.
The modification prevents those Big Ten West division games from being played in the same venue for two straight seasons.
Wisconsin’s non-conference schedule remains the same, with three home dates against FCS foe Illinois State, Washington State, and New Mexico State to open the season between September 3rd and 17th.
Wisconsin will have bye weeks to open the season on August 27th (the week colloquially known as “Week Zero”) and October 29th.
Other highlights on the Badgers’ schedule include the Big Ten opener against Ohio State on September 24th and the annual Axe game against Minnesota on November 26th in Madison; with Wisconsin looking to reclaim the prized traveling trophy after Minnesota’s upset win last season.
The Big Ten Championship game is scheduled for December 3rd at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Big Ten play will begin in Dublin, Ireland on August 27th when Nebraska takes on Northwestern. Illinois will also host Wyoming that day.
