STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP womens basketball team had four players in double figures in a 75-65 win over UW-Platteville on Saturday at Berg Gym.
Taylor Greenheck had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the way. Merrill native Courtney Krueger had a career high 16 points. Alexa Thomson had 11 and Abbie Campion added 10.
The Pointers, now 9-4, 2-2 in WIAC, travel to Menominee to face UW-Stout on Wednesday.
The UWSP mens basketball team dropped an 89-78 decision Saturday at Platteville.
Garrett Nelson had 19 points. Zach Mootz had 15, Peter Timmerman 14 and Jake Buchanan added 11.
The Pointers, now 3-8, 0-4 in WIAC, host UW-Stout on Wednesday.
The UWSP womens hockey team dropped a pair of agmes with UW-River Falls over the weekend, 3-2 on Saturday and 5-0 on Sunday.
The Pointers got goals on Saturday from Courtney Leising and Dani Heitsman. Olivia Schultz combined for 79 saves in the two games.
The Pointers, now 7-9, will host Marian College on Tuesday.
