EVANSTON, Illinois (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team beat Northwestern 82-76 on Tuesday night in Evanston. The Badgers won their 7th straight as all five starters finished in double figures.
The Wildcats pulled to within four with 48 seconds remaining but Tyler Wahl hit a couple of foul shots to help Wisconsin hold on.
Johnny Davis led the way with 27 points and eight rebounds. Wahl finished with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Chucky Hepburn also had 14 while Brad Davison had 13 and Steven Crowl added 10.
The Badgers, now 15-2, 6-1 in conference play and in a first place tie in the Big Ten. It’s their best start since the 2014-15 season. They host Michigan State on Friday night.
