STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Worzalla Publishing is looking for new hires.
They’ve been printing and binding books for 130 years, and thanks to the pandemic, they’ve never seen better business. They print the popular ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ series.
Now they’ve expanded their facility and are looking for workers to fill 80 to 90 new positions. This comes right as they’ve seen their busiest couple of years yet. “You know book manufacturing and book sales have really been through the roof, so Worzalla is at one of our strongest points in company history.” said Human Resources Director Brett O’Sullivan.
He said the pandemic has contributed to a revival of reading, and that people seem to value physical copies of books. “Children learn to read best through the physical book in their hand,” said O’Sullivan, “a physical book is in a lot of ways irreplaceable.”
If you’re looking to help get books from the line to the shelf, details on the job openings can be found at Worzalla‘s website.
