WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau drug dealer who has been eluding probation for over a year is facing an additional charge of recklessly endangering safety and delivering heroin in an overdose case from earlier this week.
Christopher Harter is charged with providing the heroin used by a man who nearly died in a west side Wausau home. The victim allegedly bought the heroin from Harter.
Harter, 45, had been released from prison in August of 2020 after serving time for providing drugs that led to earlier overdoses in the area. He has been avoiding extended supervision ever since.
Harter is now being held on a $5000 cash bond and could see his probation revoked which would lead to additional prison time. A hearing is set for January 26th.
