WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Charges of impersonating a firefighter and bail jumping were filed last week against a Weston man in Marathon County Court.
Keyiondra Smith-Chamness is accused of sneaking into a Village of Maine vehicle, dressing in firefighter gear, and trying to assist in a rescue in the Village of Maine back in 2019 as if he was a first responder.
This was after he was turned down for employment by the Fire Department based on where he lived. He was also out on bail at the time for a case involved in exposing a child to harmful material.
The 25-year-old returns to court on January 26th.
