Fatal Fire
MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – One person is dead after a fire in a trailer Monday afternoon.
The Marshfield Fire Department was called to a fire at a trailer on Frey Court.
After an initial attempt to check for anyone inside failed because of the intense heat and flames, more crews showed up to help combat the fire. Then fire crews found the victim lying on the floor.
The name of the victim is being withheld their family is notified.
The fire department was able to put out the fire and keep it from spreading to nearby structures. They estimate $15,000 in damage to the trailer and another $10,000 in damage to the contents inside.
