MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Facemasks are now optional for students in the Marshfield School District.
WAOW TV reports that school leaders voted to end the requirement on Wednesday. Students will still be required to mask up on school busses and other transportation, but not in buildings or elsewhere on school grounds.
Other COVID-19 mitigation strategies such as staggered lunches and student pickup/drop off remain in place. Visitor restrictions also remain in place for now.
Leaders are working to adjust quarantine guidelines as well, but those details have not yet been announced.
