GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Green Bay Packers continue to re-build a coaching staff that will be tasked with getting the team over the hump in the playoffs and also to hasten the possible return of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
To that end, the team re-hired former quarterbacks coach Tom Clements to the same position he held under Mike McCarthy from 2006-2011.
Clements had been hired by McCarthy to help in the development of Rodgers. He also served as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach during his time in Green Bay.
He had been working with the Arizona Cardinals before retiring in 2020. He did not coach the past season.
Clements replaces Luke Getsy who left to become offensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears.
