
Wausau Cyclones
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Cyclones Junior hockey team earned a spot in the Fraser Cup Playoffs by taking two of three games from the Milwaukee Power this weekend.
After dropping Friday’s game in Milwaukee, the Cyclones beat the Power 5-4 on Saturday and 3-2 in overtime on Sunday at Marathon Park.
Dominick Bourdon got the 3rd period game winner on Saturday. Zac Maupin & Luke Anderson each scored twice for the Cyclones. Zach Dosan had 28 saves
On Sunday Hayden Shoemake scored twice including the game winner 2:40 into the OT. Gage Vierzba had the other goal for the Cyclones and Dosan had 31 saves.
The Cyclones will close out the regular season with home games Friday and Saturday vs the Rochester Grizzlies. Both games start at 7:10 at Marathon Park.
