GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — After a series of social media posts on Monday that had some thinking his time in Green and Gold is up, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers provided no clues as to what the future holds during a Tuesday appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
The long-time Packers QB told his friend that he will have no decision on his future in football today. Rodgers says he just completed a 12-day panchakarma cleanse, and is just now “getting his head above the sand.
“No decision about my future today,” Rodgers told McAfee.
Some are speculating that Rodgers could decide by March 8th if he will be back for another run in Green Bay. That’s the deadline for teams to use the franchise tag on players, which gives them a one-year deal at the average salary of the top five highest-paid players at their position. Many believe Green Bay will use that on WR Davante Adams if they can’t agree on a long-term deal.
Deciding by March 8th would allow Green Bay to have clarity going into the new league year at QB.
