PISCATAWAY, NJ (WSAU) The Badgers basketball team got a road win over Rutgers, and now sits alone in first place in the Big Ten standings.
The Badgers won 66-61, avenging a loss to the Scarlet Knights from earlier this month.
Wisconsin has now won four straight.
Johnny Davis led the Badgers, scoring 15 of his 19 points in the second half. Chucky Hepburn had 15. Tyler Wahl added 11.
Wisconsin led by 11 at halftime. Rutgers got within 2-points before the Badgers pulled away down the stretch.
If the Badgers can beat Purdue on Tuesday in Madison, they’ll win at least a share of the regular-season title.
“This group has had a Big Ten championship in their sights since we started in the offseason,” said coach Greg Guard.
