MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WSAU) – The Badgers men’s hockey team ended the season with an 8-0 loss to Minnesota. The Golden Gophers shut out Wisconsin, 5-0, on Friday night.
Wisconsin’s best scoring chance was a disallowed goal midway through the first person, where Zach Urdahl appeared to score. The goal was wiped out because of goalie interference.
Wisconsin’s 5th year senior Josh Ess became only the 10th Badger to skate in 170 games.
The Badgers, 9-22-3 for the season, finished in a tie for 5th place in the Big Ten. They’ll play 3-seed Notre Dame in a best-of-three series in South Bend starting on March 4. The Badgers split their last two meetings against Notre Dame in Madison two weeks ago.
