STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) – The mask mandate at UW-Stevens Point will end on March 18th.
That’s the day that spring break begins. The University said, “after consulting with local public health officials and to protect our campuses and communities, UWSP will continue to require face coverings until spring break.”
Weekly testing is still required for all unvaccinated students and employees.
The school issued a statement to students that says: “In updated guidance, the CDC says shared housing, such as residence halls, is considered a lower risk congregate living setting because of the lower risk of hospitalization, death or severe illness associated with young adults.
Masks will still be required at the school’s counseling center, COVID-19 testing sites, and the CPS Speech Language Hearing Clinic through the end of the spring semester.
