Snowmobile accident graphic
PRESQUE ISLE, WI (WAOW-WSAU) — One person is dead after a snowmobile crash in Vilas County on Friday.
It happened around 12:42 pm in the Town of Presque Isle. A driver lost control and left a trail. He was thrown off the snowmobile into a tree on Trail 6.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being witheld pending notification of relatives.
The accident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin DNR.
