MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Khris Middleton erupted for 44 points as the Milwaukee Bucks snuck by the Phoenix Suns 132-122 Sunday afternoon.
Middleton recorded the game-high in scoring while also recording eight rebounds and five assists. Jrue Holiday added 24 points and nine assists in the win.
Giannis Antetokounmpo chipped in 19 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and three blocks, though had his playing time limited in the fourth with foul trouble.
Phoenix was led by 30 points from Deandre Ayton. Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Cam Johnson all missed the game due to injury or illness.
The Bucks outscored Phoenix 12-1 over the final three minutes of the game.
The game featured 12 ties and 19 lead changes, including a whopping ten lead changes in the first quarter alone.
Milwaukee will continue Western Conference play this week traveling to Oklahoma City on Wednesday to play the Thunder on Tuesday. They’ll return home Wednesday to face the Hawks.
