TOWN OF WOODRUFF, WI (WSAU) — A 71-year-old Minocqua woman was killed in a car versus pedestrian accident near Rhinelander Friday evening.
According to the state patrol, Mary Ellen Zlensky was crossing US 51 at around 7:15 when she was struck by a pickup. She died at the scene of the crash.
The driver, 51-year-old William Gamblin, was not injured in the incident. Officers say he is cooperating with the investigation.
As it stands the driver is not facing any charges in the incident.
