RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — The man accused of helping to plot the killing of a Rhinelander mother will go to trial this September.
An Oneida County judge scheduled a four-day trial for Seth Wakefield on Tuesday to run September 6th through the 9th. Wakefield faces one count of being a party to the crime of first-degree intentional homicide in the incident.
According to investigators Wakefield helped Christopher Terrell Anderson plan the killing of Hannah Miller last summer by conducting surveillance on her apartment to see when she would be home. The 25-year-old was also reportedly expecting financial gain for helping Anderson plot the killing.
When asked why he didn’t tell police about the alleged motive Wakefield said he didn’t think it was any of his business to do so.
Wakefield will return to court for a status conference on April 26th. He remains jailed on a quarter-million dollars bond.
Anderson, who faces one count of first-degree intentional homicide, returns to court March 18th ahead of his trial which begins August 15th.
