INDIANAPOLIS, IND (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team could not survive another poor shooting night and fell to the Michigan State Spartans 69-63 in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament on Friday night.
The Badgers shot just 36.7% from the field and a dismal 57% from the free throw line.
Brad Davison led Wisconsin with 23 points. Johnny Davis had 11 and 11 rebounds.
The Badgers, now 24-7, will await their destination when the NCAA Tournament field is announced on Sunday.
The other Big Ten games yesterday had Indiana beat #1 seed Illinois 65-63, Iowa top Rutgers 84-74 and Purdue dumped Penn State 69-61.
Todays semi-finals have Indiana vs Iowa and Michigan State faces Purdue.
