WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The woman found guilty of killing her husband more than ten years ago has had her sentencing delayed while she works through a new attorney.
Cindy Schulz Juedes was scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, but court records show that date is now a calendar call. This comes two months after she requested to have renowned Twin Cities attorney Earl Gray removed from the case for unknown reasons.
Gray withdrew on January 14th. Court records now indicate she’s being represented by Michael Hughes as of Tuesday.

Schulz Juedes faces a mandatory life sentence, with only the possibility of parole to be discussed at sentencing.
The 66-year-old was found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide last fall for killing Ken Juedes in 2006 to cash in on life insurance money and other assets. She said the windfall she received was the result of true love between the couple, and that instead a group of five other men had committed the crime over the sale of a racetrack and to keep Juedes quiet about illegal drug activity.
