TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) — The State Patrol has identified the Eagle River woman killed in a two-vehicle crash near Tomahawk earlier this week.
Amber Shea, 22, was driving a Chevy Malibu eastbound on US Highway 8 near McCord Road Tuesday when she crossed the centerline into the path of an oncoming semi.
The two vehicles collided head-on and Shea died at the scene.
The driver of the semi, a 61-year-old man from Illinois, was not injured in the incident. officers say he was cooperative with the investigation and he will not be charged as a result of the crash.
Highway 8 was closed for several hours while crews processed and cleared the scene.
