CLERMONT FLA, (WSAU) — The UWSP softball team split a pair of games on Saturday in Florida beting Allegheny College 4-2 and dropping a 12-11 game in eight innings with Farmingdale State.
Meg Lawrence and Becca Geiyer had two hits in each game. Jesse Klicker and Maddie Candre had three hits each on the day. Klicker added three runs scored and three RBIs.
MacKenzie Honish picked up the win against Allegheny in relief of Makenna Tkach. Abby Van Beek picked up the save.
The Pointers, now 9-3, will play two games today against St. Catherine and Tufts.
The UWSP baseball team topped St Scholastica 8-5 on Saturday in Auburndale Florida.
Aaron Simmons was 4-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Bradley Comer had two hits and three RBIs. Logan Mason had two hits and scored three times.
Nick Paulsen picked up the win with six innings of work with six K’s. Sidney Ferry picked up the save getting the final out with the bases loaded.
The Pointers, now 8-1, will play Wooster this afternoon
