MERRILL, Wi (WAOW TV -WSAU) — A woman accused of the neglectful death of her toddler has pleaded guilty. Amber Boyd made the plea as part of deal in the case of the death of her baby in 2020.
Boyd called police when the 15 month old infant wasn’t breathing. Police found the child suffered from severe neglect including numerous bruises and being significantly underweight. There was also meth found in the baby’s system.
Boyd pleaded guilty to neglect of a child resulting in death. Her other charges were read in and then dropped. Boyd is scheduled to be sentenced in July.
The father involved in the case, Cody Robertson, is facing a single charge of neglect of a child resulting in death. He’s scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing in April.
