AUBURNDALE, FLA (WSAU) — The UWSP baseball team concluded their spring trip with a 6-1 win over #24 ranked Johns Hopkins on Wednesday.
All nine starters got a hit in the victory. Bradley Comer and Anthony Tomczak had two hits apiece. Lucas Luedtke had a two-run homer. Aaron Simmons extended his htting streak to 17 games dating back to last season.
Iola native Marcus Jaworski made his collegiate debut on the mound and went two innings. Jacob Meinholz, Tyler Beyer and Nathan Krommenakker also pitched with Meinholz going four scoreless innings.
The Pointers, now 8-1, are scheduled to open league play, weather permitting, on Saturday with a double-header at UW-Whitewater.
