STEVENS POINT, Wis. – (UWSP-WSAU) The four-game league series scheduled for this weekend between the UW-Stevens Point baseball team (8-1) and No. 12 UW-Whitewater (8-3) has been postponed.
Originally scheduled for Saturday (March 26) and Sunday (March 27), the games will be made up with a doubleheader on Monday (March 28) beginning at 1:00 p.m. The other twin bill is rescheduled for April 26 also beginning at 1:00 p.m. All games in the series will be played in Whitewater.
The Pointers went 6-1 in Florida over the past week and a half and are 8-1 to begin the season, the best start since the 2014 season when UWSP started 14-1. UWSP is scheduled to open the home slate on April 2 against Finlandia with a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader at Zimmermann Field.
