MADISON, Wi (WSAU) — As expected Wisconsin Badger basketball star Johnny Davis has declared himself eligible for the NBA draft. He’s expected to be a lottery pick.
Davis was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and is a finalist for both the Wooden Award and the Naismith Award which are National Player of the Year honors.
Davis led the Badgers in scoring and rebounding during his sophomore season with 19.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
He said “My time at Wisconsin was great. It was an unforgettable experience. I thank all my coaches and teammates I had in my corner.”
The NBA draft lottery is May 17th and the draft itself is June 23rd.
