TOWN OF SARATOGA, WI (WSAU) — The woman who died after being rescued from a burning home on Monday has been identified.
Christina Romanski was inside the home in the Town of Saratoga when the fire broke out at around 10 AM. She was taken to Aspirus Riverview Hospital, where she later died.
Officials are continuing to investigate the cause of death, which could take several weeks depending on the speed of the autopsy results. Investigators have yet to pinpoint the cause of Monday’s fire but have determined that it started in the kitchen area of the home.
