CLEVELAND, OH (WSAU) — The Bucks closed out the regular season Sunday with a 133-115 setback to Cleveland.
Sandro Mamukelashvili led a short-sided Bucks squad with 28 points. Thanasis Antetokounmpo scored 27, and Jordan Norwa added 24.
Big names such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez. Serge Ibaka, Wesly Matthews, Bobby Portis, Khris Middleton, and Pat Connaughton either did not dress or did not play in the game due to injury or rest.
Matthews and Portis were the only two out of that group that dressed for the game.
Kevin Love scored the game-high 32 points off the bench for the Cavs.
The win secured the 8 seed for Cleveland in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament, meaning they’ll have two chances to win one game and make it to the Conference playoffs first round. They’ll play Brooklyn this week with the winner earning the #7 seed. The loser will then play the winner of the game matching the #9/#10 seed, with the winner of that game then earning the #8 seed in the playoffs.
Milwaukee will be either the #2 or #3 seed in the playoffs and will have home-court advantage in the first round. Potential first-round opponents for the Bucks include the Bulls, Nets, and Cavs.
