CHICAGO, IL (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers managed just four hits in a 9-0 loss to the Cubs on Saturday.
Andrew McCutchen, Willy Adames, and Christian Yelich all recorded hits at the top of the lineup. Ian Happ went 2-3 with two RBI and three runs scored for the Cubs.
Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff was roughed up in 3.2 innings, allowing seven runs and six hits. He was tagged with the loss in his first start of the season.
Justin Steele went 5 innings to get the win for the Cubs.
Both starters were originally scheduled to throw on Friday, but had their starts pushed back due to the rainout.
Milwaukee will turn to Freddy Peralta as they look for their first win of the season this afternoon in the series finale against Chicago. First pitch is set for 1:10, with pregame at 12:45 on WSAU.
