MAPLE GROVE, WI (WSAU-WAOW) A woman from Angelica is dead after a car crash in Maple Grove.
In a press release, the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at 12:18am Sunday. Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on eastbound Highway 29 at St. Augustine Street.
A preliminary investigation indicates the car was driving when it entered the south ditch line going east. It then drove up the embankment and hit the St. Augustine Street overpass.
The driver, whose name hasn’t been released, died at the scene.
The incident is still under investigation.
