
AUGUSTA, Ga (MetroSource-WSAU) — Scottie Scheffler is celebrating his first ever green jacket. The world’s number one golfer won The Masters after finishing atop the leaderboard with a 10-under par.
Scheffler shot a 71 on back-to-back days to clinch the victory. Rory McIlroy shot a 64 in the final round to finish the tournament in second place at seven-under.
Shane Lowry and Cameron Smith tied for third place at five-under par. Tiger Woods finished the tournament 47th in his return from suffering serious injuries in a car crash.
Scheffler’s win at The Masters is also the first major victory in the career of the 25-year-old.
