MADISON, Wi (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team landed their first commitment for the class of 2023. He’s guard John Blackwell from Bloomfield Hills Michigan.
Blackwell is a 6’4″ combo guard and has been described as a no glitz, hard-nosed competitor. He’s the son of Glynn Blackwell who played four years at Illinois in the mid 80’s.
Blackwell chose Wisconsin over Loyola-Chicago, VCU and Rhode Island.
