MILWAUKEE, Wi (WSAU) — The one thing missing from the Milwaukee Brewers this season has been the home run ball. Christian Yelich changed that on Monday night.
Yelich hit his first homer of the season, a fourth inning grand slam, that propelled the Brewers to a 6-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at American Family Field.
Yelich finished 2-3 with a walk and 4 RBIs. Kolten Wong also drove in a run.
Eric Lauer pitched six innings giving up just one run on five hits with five Ks and one walk. Jandel Gustave, Hoby Milner and Jose Urena each pitched one scoreless inning.
The two teams will play again tonight…pre game show at 6:05 on WSAU.
