WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County GOP leader has withdrawn his request for information related to the election.
According to a statement released by Marathon County Clerk Kim Trueblood, Jack Hoogendyk instructed her to “please disregard my previous letter of request,” on Thursday. Hoogendyk then went on to thank Trueblood for “overseeing the election this Spring very efficiently.”
Hoogendyk’s request for information included details about ballots cast in Wausau wards 3, 5, and 7 along with information about absentee ballots. He was also asking for a list of all original voter registration applications of electors who voted on April 5.
“I’m very thankful for the acknowledgment of the hard work of the poll workers and clerks in Marathon County and want to again reinforce that the April 5 election was conducted with
integrity and transparency,” said Trueblood “We look forward to getting on with the business of serving the citizens of Marathon County and beginning preparations for the Fall Elections.
